Over many years in Italy I've become quite fussy for a good Cappucino:
So far here are a few places that usually are consistent in serving good thick foamed cappucinos:
Pazkoski (sometimes depends on the waiter)
In via Porta Rossa (around the corner from le poste in piazza repubblica)

Smack in the middle of Dante's neighborhood is Via dei Cerchi, a heavily trafficked side street which runs from via del Corso to piazza Signoria, Florence.If you know where to look there are exceptional views of the spire of the Badia and the Bargello bell tower. Medieval stone tower- houses flank the street,  some of  which are now occupied by  interesting shops with many hidden gems...
